                                                 AREA : MARKHA VALLEY / PERIOD : MAY-SEPTEMBER

This is a highly popular trek taking you across the wild highlands of Ladakh.

Day 01 : DELHI - LEH: Arrival in Delhi and transfer to hotel After freshing up transfer to Domestic Airport for flight to Leh.

Day 02 : LEH: Local sightseeing in the morning. Afternoon free.

Day 03 : LEH - SPITUK - ZINCHEN: Drive to Spituk. Trek to Zinchen.  Overnight at camp.(12 kms, 5 hrs trek)

Day 04 : ZINCHEN - YURUTSE: Trek to Yuruts. Camp near Rumbak village (10 kms, alt 3530-4180 m, 4 hrs trek)

Day 05 : YURUTSE - SHINGO: Gradual trek to Ganda-la (4985 m) with spectacular view. Camp overnight at Shingo (12 kms, 6 hrs trek)

Day 06 : SHINGO - SKIU: Trek downhill through narrow valley and dense shrubbery. Camp overnight near the Markha river (10 kms, alt 3850-3500 m, 4 hrs trek)

Day 07 : SKIU - MARKHA: Trek along the Markha river. Camp overnight near the village of Markha (16 kms, 7 hrs trek).

Day 08 : MARKHA - NIMALING:  gradual ascent which gets steeper as we approach the village of Nimaling. (19 kms, 7 hrs trek).

Day 09 : NIMALING: Day at leisure. Optional trek 

Day 10 : NIMALING - CHOKDO: Trek through gorges and ravines, Kangmaru-la.  Camp in a willow grove near Chokdo village (15 kms, alt 4600-5100 m, 7 hrs trek)

Day 11 : CHOKDO - LEH: trek to Martselang. Drive to Hemis Monastery 45 kms south of Leh, the most famous monastery in Ladakh Overnight at hotel in Leh.

Day 12 : LEH-DELHI: Transfer to Leh airport. Arrival in Delhi and transfer to hotel.
