Day 1 ARRIVE CHENNAI: Meeting and assistance on arrival. Transfer to your hotel. Relax for the
day. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2 CHENNAI - TIRUPATI: (By road covering 140 km in 3 hr.)
Transfer to Tirupati. Tirupati, temple and pilgrim
town. Located at the foot of the Tirumala Hills, the ancient and
beautiful temple of Lord Venkateshwara, Spread over seven hills, this
township is the most picturesque pilgrimage centre in the south. Masses of
coins, jewelry & hair are received as offerings, proceed for Darshan of LORD BALAJI. Overnight at Tirupati.
Day 3 TIRUPATI - CHENNAI: (By road covering 140 km in 3 hr.)
Proceed for Chennai. Check in at hotel in Chennai. City tour of Chennai visiting Museum, the flower and fruit market, High
Court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park. Overnight at Chennai.
Day 4 CHENNAI - MAHABALIPURAM: (By road covering 58 km in 1 hr.)
Proceed for Mahabalipuram. Sight seeing of Mahabalipuram, the famous for the seven pagodas
/ an
interesting group of ancient rock temples. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 MAHABALIPURAM:
Visit Kanchipuram,
ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 temples that still
has 124 shrines. Kanchipuram is also famous for silk. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 MAHABALIPURAM - TANJORE: (By road covering 309 km in 7 hr.)
Leave for Tanjore. Reach and relax at hotel. Drive to Tanjore also known as Thanjavur. Visit the famous Chola
Temple of Brihadeeshwara, A WORLD HERITAGE MONUMENT. Its bronze and
handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights of the tour to South India.
The palaces and art gallery attached to the temple is really
awe-inspiring. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 TANJORE - TRICHY - TANJORE: (Full Day excursion)
Full day excursion to the city of Trichy.
Visit the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi, SRIRANGAM, a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu sprawled on a Island in
CAUVERY RIVER. Gaze up at the twenty-one magnificent towers of the
temple surrounded by seven walls. Return to hotel and relax. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 8 TANJORE:
Sight seeing of the city of Tanjore also
known as Thanjavur. Visit the beautiful Chola temple of Brihadeeshwara. The temple is capped by a
monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighing 80 tons. Visit the Palace and its
Art Gallery, which contains several granite and bronze statues of the Chola
period. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 TANJORE -
MADURAI: (By road
covering 183 km in 4 hr.)
Leave for Madurai by surface and en route visit Karaikudi (Chettinad).
On arrival, transfer to hotel and relax. The city is planned in the shape of
a lotus. visit to Alagar hills & Thirupura Rock Temple.
Overnight at Madurai.
Day 10
MADURAI: (Rameshwaram excursion)
visit the famous Madurai
Meenakshi temple,
Watch the evening AARTI at Meenakshi Temple .
Overnight at Madurai.
Day 11 RAMESHWARAM EXCURSION
Full day excursion to Rameshwaram, a city of sand dunes. This is a sacred place for Hindus since according to Ramayana, this
where Lord Rama worshipped God Shiva to absolve himself of the sin of
killing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12
MADURAI - TRIVANDRUM: (By road covering 264 km in 6 hr.)
Leave for Trivandrum by surface and reach late evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13
TRIVANDRUM:
visit the Sree Padmanabha
Swami Temple, Napier Museum, Chitralayam Arts Gallery, Zoological gardens,
Reptile house, Observatory and Kanakakunnu Palace. Proceed for the sunset
view against the sea.
Day 14
TRIVANDRUM:
Move to next destination.
