DIVINE ABODE OF LORD SHIVA

m also known as Tise, Kailasa & Kang Rinpoche & known as the center of
the physical & metaphysical universe. Mt. Meru is sacred to the Buddhist, Jains, the Hindus & the Bonpos. For the
Hindus the mountain represents the seat of Lord Shiva, for the Buddhists a
terrestrial projection of the cosmic mandala of Dhyani-Buddhas, Boddhisatvas
/ The Wheel of Life and for the Bonpos, Kailash is the sacred
nine storey Swastika Mountain, upon which the Bonpo founder Sherab alighted
from heaven. Four of the great rivers of the India : the Ganges (south); the
Indus (north); the Sutlez (west) & the Brahmaputra (east).
Pilgrimage to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasorovar can be termed as the
ultimate realization of spiritual pursuit in life and Once-in-a-lifetime experience. All trip
departures have been planned to arrive at Mt. Kailash
on a FULL MOON DAY to obtain total & unhindered `Darshan' of the HOLY
MOUNTAIN & perform prayer offerings.

This is the shortest & the most direct approach to Mt. Kailash & is
best suited for those on pilgrimage.
Day 1 : Arrive Katmandu
& transfer to Hotel.
Day 2 :
Visit Pahsupatinath
Temple. Trip orientation in evening.
Day 3 :
Drive to Dhulikhel. O/N Dhulikhel Lodge Resort.
Day 4 :
DHULIKHEL-NYLAM, From Dhulikhel, the road climbs
steadily uphill. enjoy the breathtaking views through
a luxuriant, deep gorge shifting to a windy barren pass. O/N Guest
House.
Day 5 :
NYLAM-PELGU TSO, Past Nylam the road climbs to the
5120 M Thong-la pass. To the south there are views of Shisha Pangma. O/N in Camp.
Day 6 :
SAGA, The road follows south of the Pelgu-Tso, to a ferry
crossing over the Yarlung Tsangpo.
Day 7 :
ZHONGBA, From Saga it is 145 km to Zhongba. The
road is good & the trip can be completed in 4-5 hrs. Visit monastery.
Day 8 :
PARYANG, From Zhongba onwards the southern road
deteriorates. This
section of the road has panoramic views.
Day 9 :
LAKE MANASOROVAR,
From Paryang to Lake Mansorovar is a drive of 10 hrs. Several river crossings &
enjoy the Mayum la pass, stunningly beautiful panoramic views of the
Himalayas. O/N camp
Day 10 :
DARCHEN north of Lake Manasorovar is
Darchen, the main gateway & the village. we organize yaks or ponies for
the Kailash circuit trek.
Day 11 :
KAILASH CIRCUIT TREK - DIRAPHUK : This Kailash circuit
covers 53 kms & can be done in 3 days. the trail climbs up to a cairn at 4730 m from where
the southern face of Mt. Kailash comes to view.
Day 12 :
DIRAPHUK - ZUTRULPHUK , cross Drolma la
pass & Gauri Kund Lake where Hindus worship & immerse
in icy waters
Day 13 :
DARCHEN - LAKE MANASOROVAR The final end of the parikrama is an easy 2-3-hrs walk down to where the river emerges. We complete the 3-day circuit trek of Mt. Kailash & drive 33 KM
to Chiu Gompa at Lake Manasorovar.

Drive via Zhangmu then drive to
Katmandu. O/N Gangjong Hotel.

VISA: All tourists including Indian nationals require a passport
valid for atleast 6 months & visa to visit Tibet. For visa processment we require following passport information atleast 20
days before trip departure. Original passports must reach our office in Kathmandu
atleast 10 days before trip commencement.
Actual visa will be issued by the Chinese Embassy in Katmandu. Embassy takes
3 working days to issue visas. Visas can also be processed in less than 3
days on payment of USD 30-rush fee.
TEMPERATURE & CLOTHING
Average temperature in Tibet during the month of April through September
remains 5-20 degree Celsius. However, the night temperatures in the
mountains during trekking season often falls below freezing. Hence, adequate
warm clothing will be required throughout. It is best to dress in layers
that can be easily put on & off as required. Snow or rain can also occur
sometimes.
recommended: Thermal underwear, woolen or silk long sleeve tops & bottoms

- Woolen shirts, pullover, pants, socks, hat, gloves & scarves / Down jacket or wind breaker
/ Good walking boots or shoes / Sun hat, sun glass, suntan lotion, torch light, pen knife
/ Medicine for common colds, headache, diarrhea & diamox against altitude
sickness
HEALTH : General physical fitness is important for participation on our Kailash Yatra
trips. There is no particular age limit guideline but All participants are
required to obtain doctor's medical certificate for trip participation.
INSURANCE : All participants are requested to provide for their own insurance that
adequately covers against illness, natural calamities, political
instability, emergency rescue charges or any other eventualities that may
occur during the course of their trip.
FOOD : Choice of pure vegetarian food prepared by our staffs will be served
throughout. Meals will in general be hot breakfast & wholesome dinner. Lunch
usually is light & consist of box lunch. Tea & cold drinks will be served
intermittently throughout.
BOOKING & PAYMENT : Duly filled booking form & copy of doctor's medical certificate with
advance
TRIP DEPOSIT OF INR 5000 (Non Refundable) is required atleast 1 month in
advance for confirmation of all bookings. 50% deposit is required on the confirmation of the
pilgrimage .
The final payment should be made before the commencement of the tour.
